Santo Cardenas’ Salomon

When Roberto Duran of Duran Cigars came to us wanting to “tweak” the Roberto P. Duran cigar bands for a very special and limited project, we were indeed intrigued. Turns out, a very special Salomon was being rolled at his Nicatabaco factory in Esteli, by none other than legendary Cuban cigar roller Santo Cardenas. We at CPD were both excited and honored to be invited and be a part of such special project.

BEST IN SHOW

The 82nd International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) trade show took place from July 19th – 23rd in Las Vegas, NV and with over 300 exhibitors on the floor, it’s hard getting you and your product noticed. The show is crowded, the competition is on their A-Game, and if you’re not putting your best foot forward you’ll most certainly be missed. This was the challenge presented to us by Roberto P. Duran, President of Roberto P. Duran Premium Cigars, a new exhibitor at #IPCPR2014. We at #CigarPackageDesign accepted the challenge with open arms and set out to design a booth space that is visually appealing, showcased product well and was welcoming.

A No Nonsense Cigar Making Company

Azan Cigars, a no nonsense cigar making company, begins 2014 launching its first national print campaign.

All cigar manufacturers bring a different taste profile to beginners and aficionados alike. They all want to highlight what makes their cigars great and unique. Azan is no exception – the company is one of the best kept secrets in the history of Cuban cigar brands. Azan was founded by a group of Chinese immigrants back in 1928. Kwan Ben Sen (known as Domingo Azan) with his brothers started making handmade cigars in Manicaragua, Cuba (located in the province of Villa Clara).

CPD at IPCPR 2012

August 2012 brought the IPCPR (International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association) 80th Annual Convention & International Trade Show to Orlando Florida, the most important event of the year for tobacconists. We at CPD are proud to have been part of the show and unveil our identity and product designs for Salutem and Master Habano Maduro. We also had a great time reconnecting with old friends and opportunities to make new friends there, too.

For the third consecutive year CPD, and their designs, have worked with the great folks from Toraño Family Cigar Co. “This IPCPR is the most ambitious to date regarding new releases for Toraño. We have been hard at work for many years to offer a diversity of flavors and packaging to our consumers and it’s exciting to get them to the market,” says Charlie Toraño, President of Toraño Family Cigar Co.
